Podium Place

The Brief

The owners of Podium Place have two passions, cars & coffee. We were engaged to design & manage the conversion of 1970s warehouse & office building to provide a space to accommodate a facility for the sales, garage workshop & bespoke detailing of modern classic sports cars, from rare Ferraris, Aston Martins, Bentleys & the like, combined with a cafe area to provide freshly ground specialist coffees roasted on site

 

Project Challenges

The main challenge for the showroom area was to achieve the most effective display of the spectacular cars.

 

Our Work

To this end, we lowered the whole floor & incorporated turntables with lighting effects. To ensure maximum visibility from the street scene & access for the vehicles, we designed a series of large, interactive sliding glass panels.

 

The Outcome

To provide the facility for bespoke bodywork detailing, we obtained the required planning permission & managed the construction of two purpose built units. The design of the garage workshop area incorporated a large mezzanine floor to accommodate offices & hospitality area
