The Brief

We were instructed by the owners of Attington Stud Estate to design and project manage the demolition of an existing bungalow and the construction of a replacement dwelling for occupation by the Stud Manager.

Project Challenges

The site is situated in an elevated position, with extensive views over the open countryside. An important element of the design was the optimisation of the spectacular landscape.

Our Work

The architectural style employed is a balance of new country and classical features, such as the raking buttressing piers. The layout incorporates a curved mezzanine with a connecting bridge to access the master suite, which allows a full height element above the lounge.

The Outcome

The accommodation is designed to meet the specific requirements of the occupant.
